Increase Brand Visibility with Slideshare

Update: Slideshare is now owned by LinkedIn and is fully integrated into LinkedIn profiles. You can still use Slideshare as a separate platform and link it to your LinkedIn profile. By uploading your presentations to Slideshare, you can reach more people with content you’ve already created, saving you time, positioning you as a thought-leader, and garnering visibility on multiple platforms.

One of my favorite marketing visibility tools is Slideshare.net, a powerful platform for increasing brand awareness, demonstrating authority on a topic, making your stellar content work harder for you across multiple platforms and creating those all-powerful digital breadcrumbs leading back to the brand of you.

Make every piece of content you create work harder for you with a cross platform strategy.

Here’s an example of how I use Slideshare to spread my content across multiple platforms. I recently presented a talk called Facebook 201: 15 Super Easy and Inexpensive Ways to Create a Rock Star Facebook Page for Your Brand, Book or Business. Within the presentation were more than 15 strategic tips, tools and techniques that any brand, big or small, could use to improve their reach on Facebook.

After giving the talk, I uploaded my Powerpoint presentation to my Slideshare account. From there I can share the presentation here on my website by embedding the presentation, as well as sharing it on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn as well as directing people to this and all of my previous presentations right on the Slideshare platform.

In doing so, I’ve taken one piece of content that represents my brand and exposed it on four different platforms, exponentially increasing the visibility for my name, my brand and my content. And I can add a share on YouTube by recording the script for this presentation to create a video I can upload both on Slideshare, if I chose, and to my YouTube Channel.

On each platform, as you share your Slideshare presentations, encourage people to follow you on Slideshare as well. Slideshare presentations can be detailed concept pieces or short, sassy messages sharing one concept at a time. Are you using Slideshare to increase your visibility?
