		<description>I&#039;ve noticed that you can use the insight stats to see the demographic breakdown of your page&#039;s &quot;likers&quot;. That was a light-bulb moment for me. I saw that 68% of my page&#039;s readers were females over 45 years old but that almost all the ENGAGEMENT (comments, likes, shares) on posts had been done by females under 25. 

I think it is important to understand or accept that older Facebookers are less likely to engage. Or that it takes more effort to get them to engage. Or, that they might not KNOW HOW to engage, or be worried about being identified as engaging or making a Facebook faux pas.

So many of us take Facebook for granted but I am finding that older Facebookers are more likely to be passive readers and not engage. So if you &quot;people talking about this&quot; number is low, look at the demographics and work on encouraging engagement based on what might be holding them back.</description>

Most people lack consistency when it comes to their social media activity and that&#039;s usually where they fail. You can&#039;t be a &quot;some timer&quot; when it comes to establishing a presence on the social media universe. People have to get accustomed to a consistent rhythm so they know to keep checking back with you.</description>
