Digital marketing and branding specialist, Cindy Ratzlaff will be speaking live in New York City at the largest book publishing venue of the year in the U.S., BookExpo America. Her talk is titled Advanced Facebook: Cutting Edge Tools, Strategies & Practices to Create Powerful Platforms for Authors and Books. This is part of BookExpo America’s conference series and will be on Tuesday, May 24, 2011 from 3:30 – 4:30 pm at the Jacob Javits Center, New York, NY in room 1E15.

Book Expo America has asked me to present, live via Webinar, on December 7th at 12:00pm Eastern Time on the topic of using Facebook to promote authors, books and publishers. I’ll be sharing case studies, best practices and giving a behind the scenes look at real campaigns. I’ll be joined by Mari Smith, an author and relationship marketing expert, who has an impressive track record for creating powerful social connections, a deep knowledge of the ways in which Facebook’s platform can be used to promote brands and who is a wonderful speaker. I was delighted to open my e-mails this morning and discover that I’d been named to the Forbes list 20 Best Branded Women on Twitter. It was fun to be included in a list with Maria Shriver, Kimora Lee, Ivanka Trump, Ann Curry, Kathy Ireland and Alyssa Milano to name just a few.

We’re all so different that it’s hard to image another list where we’d all be named together. But it just goes to show you the power of Twitter to extend your brand message and personality to an enormous audience. If you’re not already representing your brand on Twitter, what are you waiting for?
